Keynote for iPad Gets a Refresh

Keynote for iPad is shaping up as a handy tool for both the consumption and the fine-tuning of presentations, whether those are built with the industry-leading Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote for Mac OS X. Keynote for iPad has new build and transition options, with the addition of the Lens Flare, Spin and Wipe build animations and the Revolving Door, Swoosh and Wipe transition animations. The updated version for the Apple tablet, released in late September, now allows users to export presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint format and copy presentations between Keynote and WebDAV-based hosting services such as the MobileMe iDisk site from Apple. The update also adds support for audio in builds that are imported from Keynote '09 presentations. Other new features and bug fixes parallel those in the other iWork for iPad applications, and include object grouping and table handling enhancements and improved font matching routines for imported presentations, and other fixes to bugs encountered when using the iWork.com document sharing site, which is offered by Apple as a public beta. - ...
